 barrel=squeak?

on barrel "1" my clarion A squeaks easily (when playing quick staccato) on barrel "2" it does not squeak. I was unaware that this was something that barrels could cause. both are "pro" barrels. is it just me or have others had similar problems caused by barrels. thanks for any replies.
