Maybe no one saw the post earlier but does anyone have any idea (approximation) on how many people attend Clarinetfest?
Also, does anyone know when Jazzfest is in New Orleans this year?

WOW! 800-1000 people?
There will probably be plenty of representation of the "candy" stores, and the manufacturers present, huh? Plenty of chances to try out new horns, etc. I would have to get someone to test drive for me because I don't have the slightest idea (even after reading the advice of Tom R.) how to test one and I can't play, so........... On second thought, maybe I should not go because I too, have a sweet tooth.
Don't think it necessarily has anything to do with Lewie. I heard the advertisement for the annual New Orleans Jazzfest, "comming soon", on a local jazz station (KNTU - Denton, TX) but they never mention the date........I've heard it twice.............guess I should give the station a call.
No CL lesson today.........my teacher is rehersing for a concert with the Dallas Wind Symphony. He thinks his status as a "stand-in" may change to permanent soon.

This year, Jazzfest is April 27-29 and May 3-6 (It lasts 2 weekends.) If you would like a list of performers, go to the Entertainment section of www.nola.com.

I also want to add that the address Mark gave (the uno.edu address) is not the Jazzfest that Jerry is thinking of. That one is a separate festival, sponsored by the University of New Orleans.
