 Wedding music for clarinet

My niece has asked me to play the clarinet for her small, informal wedding. Has anyone every played for a wedding unaccompanied or is that totally crazy? I'm thinking that I need a keyboard player as a minimum. Has anyone done this?

Keyboard player strongly recommended, I've done a few weddings, and here is a list of stuff I think is suitable for church services, but most if not all work for weddings as well:

Also, try to arrange some funds to be paid for it, even if you're a student in high school or college. Where I live standard rate is between $75-$200, depending on the amount of music and what parts of the service you are playing.

Yes. Both I and another friend played solos (each seperately) in a friend's wedding. Since she asked, I guess it's important for her that you play and less important what you play.

What I played was an improvisation based on a song she always sang at the end of yoga lessons, so it can be an idea to choose something personal like that.

Aha, I got a suggestion for you:
The classic Jewish wedding song- Mazel Tov!
A guitar(wooden) player should be added though. For the down-and-upbeats.

Have used Bach "Gavotte en Rondeau" (from E major violin partita) for a wedding; worked out nicely. Of course, you will wish to transpose to read F major on Bb clarinet -- and skip the double stopped parts.

As one of the main music pieces at my 1st Wedding, I had the Pianist play a gorgeous Bach Cantata piece.

Was only after the Divorce, that I saw the English Translation of the German title.
