Okay, guys, I need some help. I have my wooden Bundy from the 50s that I recently acquired, and it has now been overhauled by our repair guy (it seems kind of sticky from the polish and oil, which I can't seem to get rid of, but it's only been 3 days). It sounds great (and in tune when I pull out some) from the altissimo down to B (3rd line B), and then it gets totally flat, like big time. The low E is fine, not sure why, but it is. Any suggestions? I have a Backun barrel coming in the mail (not that it will necessarily help that, but because I think it looks awesome lol).
I'm trying to find a good bell, but since my low E is good, I don't know that it will help much. Should I try tuning rings? When I say it's flat, I mean like so flat it sounds like it's not even in the key of B flat!
I really want to play this horn in the Symphonic Band I'm a part of (we start back up in June), so if you have any ideas, I'd sure appreciate them.

Curlyev- The sticky polish is normal with a new polish job. My Buffet gets that way when I got my keys re-finished. As for your B, check the pad installation. The only other thing i could see is that it was not drillled correctly. In that case you will just have to adjust your embouchure when you play the note.
