At £3k it ought to be very special!
I wonder what mouthpiece is supplied with it - there's a crystal one in the photo.

It's a product of the Louis Musical Instrument Company in London. Charles Draper (the clarinettist) was a director of the company. The company eventually was acquired by Rudall-Carte sometime a little before (or maybe after)WW2 began. Supposedly their clarinets were modelled on those of the Mantes-based Martel Freres which made clarinets for Hawkes & then Boosey & Hawkes.

My teacher, Richard Addison of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (Eb, Bass and saxes) played on one as his first choice Eb.
He said it was the best Eb he had ever played. The tuning was exceptionally good.
The Ward & Winterbourn Ebs were modelled on Richard's Louis but were never quite as good.

I've only ever seen the Chas Draper model Bb clarinets (and the Halstead model oboes/d'amores/cors) but never an actual Louis Eb clarinet.
