Hi!
I`ve an idea of new instrument of clarinet family. (it`s not a joke)
But I haven`t any knowledge in clarinet crafting, I`m professional clarinetist and also clarinet repair master. In my country there are no woodwind manufacturers.
So` maby someone can advice me where I can implement my idea.
my email to contact: vovadriver@yahoo.com
Thank You!

Stephen Fox and Tom Ridenour come to mind immediately. Guy Chadash and Luis Rossi also make their own instruments.

Can you give us an idea of what your new instrument is?

Of course, few words in general:
Playing range is about 5 octaves or more. For 3/4 bigger than traditional Bb clainet. Upgraded Boehm system (still in developing) that`ll give more freedom in performance. Very easy applicature in new register(few weeks to become familliar).......
No more information about project for public discussions for today, I afraid that my idea can be stolen by someone.
Thank You!

Yes, do think of applying for a patent somehow, or making it public in order to stop someone else from patenting it.
A few people in here have experience with such things, hopefully they can add a few words of wisdom.

Chris -- that is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. What was wrong with the design that it didn't become more prevalent?

Too many linkages and keys that got bent easily I reckon.
