I got a Boosey & Co. clarinet (serial number dates it about 1912) that has different serial number on the barrel and mouthpiece. I guess over the years someone changed the originals. The thing is I can't pull out the mouthpiece and the barrel.
It has a leather case, where you place the clarinet in 2 pieces.
My question is, are the mouthpiece and barrel stuck, or are they meant to be attached to the upper part?

Yes the Mouthpiece and barrel are meant to separate.
Unfortunately keeping the joints assembled in the case has led to the joints getting stuck.
Try a very gentle rocking motion on both parts to see if you can get some initial movement.
If in doubt take it to a good tech.
In future try and keep the joints separated when not in use.
Back in those days it was very common for good makers to match and stamp the serial number on every section of the clarinet so yes at some stage the barrel and mouthpiece have been switched.
