 Interested in feedback on clarinetcentral

Hello everyone...
I have been working on a clarinet site that may interest you. <clarinetcentral.com.>
This is a site that is "in the making". There is a lot more content to include and I would be interested in feedback from clarinetists everywhere about what they would like to see and hear on this site. What is missing, omitted or information and stories that would be interesting for the site. This started out as a way to preserve all the "old sounds" and have them in one place for all to see and hear.....but it can be much bigger that that. I look forward to hearing from you...RH

The site claims that it will do a LOT of things. While I appreciate your ambition, I recommend zeroing in on a particular range of topics that you can give deep, meaningful information on. Become known as "the site that knows a lot about ____" rather than a site that has just a little bit of information on everything, information that exists in greater depth on other sites.

Find your niche.

Great start. I had a little trouble controlling the audio playback. There were multiple recordings happening simultaneously.

I also have had some playback issues.

I was at the Utah clarinet festival lecture from Russel Harlow when he showed us his website. If you go under Embouchure, there is a somewhat hidden link to a page on double-lip embouchure.

Here's some pretty neat things I found when browsing through the site.

The site's looking good, best of luck!

Edit: turns out there's a wikipedia article on you -

Could have just been my antiquated computer monitor (I think archeologists call it a cathode ray tube), but I had a hard time reading white text on bright red tabs - could only SEE the items once I hovered (is this term known in this epoch?).

Lots of great information. It is particularly fascinating to read about and hear the many fantastic legendary players who are presented here. It is a tremendous resource and I am looking forward to further info and updates.

I like the biographical and historical info, as well as how it is organized by country. It's the most comprehensive site of seen so far, and I can't wait to see it when you are out of Beta testing. Like others, I had trouble with audio playback controls. Music started playing as soon as I clicked a link, but the audio control buttons to stop the music were mostly obscured. I had to leave the site to stop the music, and couldn't choose what music I wished to start.

Hello, MSK.....
I am thinking how I can remedy the problem of the music players. They work fine for me on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox and I use a Mac.
Could you tell me what browser you use? Also, if you don't mind, I made some changes on Ralph McLanes page from the American player page. Could you let me know if that page works better for you
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for doing this! (Great picture of Benny Goodman, et al.)

Love to see a section dedicated to Jazz. It seems like the clarinet is finally starting to reemerge in Jazz (ever so slowly) so, the more exposure the better.

Have just had a brief tour and find it very interesting, love to hear those older clarinet sounds - no search for that "dark" tone then, just beautifully full, centred and resonant. I personally find those sounds much more attractive, maybe it's my age!!.

Also had problems with music player - every except starts playing at once. However with a bit of experiment found that by putting curser/pointer at very lower LH edge of the black sound bar I could switch them off.

Keep up the good work, I will be a regular visitor.
