B - A trill sounds so weak

The top trill key while holding down the throat A makes a slightly off pitch and very weak sounding B for the trill. Is there something better?

to

[B4]

trill fingering which is rarely listed on trill fingering charts, but works well.

Play the B4 with standard fingering, but also nudge the throat throat A key open by using your first finger of the left hand.

Now trill from A4 to B4 by using the first finger of the right hand.

Try fingering a long B with the Left Hand index finger pressing the throat A key and the first tone hole (the tone hole will be half cover in that sense). Then just trill using ur RH index.

Even though I supplied the "inverted trill" fingering to GBK, I never use it except as a stunt, because the A, the principal note of the trill, is weak and flat.

It's better to have the main, harmonic note (A) strong and the auxiliary, nonharmonic note (B) weak. It's also better to have the trill too wide than too narrow.

Begin the trill on B using the standard clarion fingering to establish a good B in the listeners' ears, and then continue, using both of the top trill keys. Blow a little harder to make the B audible.

Cool!

If you trill with RH fingers 1, 2 and 3 together, that will give a stronger A.
