Hi guys,
Does anyone have experience with the Reeds´n stuff Hygrocase for 12 clarinet reeds?

What about similar products that keep your reeds at a certain temperature.
Do they have any effect on the longevity and stability of the reeds. At the moment my reeds change quite a bit between days. The Reeds´n stuff product is pretty expensive at 120€ ,but I´m looking for a permanent solution.

Did you mean humidity or are there cases that maintain a constant temperature as well?
I don't find so great a value in extending reed life as others here do. The inconvenience of any of these humidity controls (including Reed Vitalizer packs) for me outweighs any advantage in being able to keep reeds going for months on end, and I almost never have reeds warp.
But that said, any humidity-controlled storage ought to work as well as any other, and there is probably some degradation to reeds caused by constant wetting-drying cycles.

At almost 120 euros (approx. $150 US) it's hard to imagine many people doling out for something like this case.

I know, it´s pretty expensive. But I thought this would be a better product than most because it´s made by a small company that is specializing in reed making machines etc.
I would be willing to pay more if I would get some advantage on the reed situation that is normal in this area.

The Vitalizer reed packs can last 4 months if the reed case is put in a ziplock plastic bag also. For $5, that's nothing compared to the additional longevity of the reed.
It keeps the reed from drying out too quickly and warping.

I do find the moisture holding reed cases make my reeds more stable and as David mentions, less prone to warpage. The Rico cases work great.
I don't have any experience with the case in question. I believe Muncy used to sell them.

Dave, if by "that's nothing ... " you were reacting to what I said, I have to say with absolutely all respect to you, Ed P and others who swear by Reed Vitalizer, that having to keep everything in a Ziploc *is* for me more trouble than it's worth to have a reed for 4 months instead of 2-1/2 or 3.
But I don't dispute that they do what they're meant to do, and much more inexpensively than any humidor-type reed case on the market.
