 Clarinet in shop, help!

Hi, so my clarinet of 10+, considering it's a plastic nothing-special I hate it type of horn,{I say this because I'll be getting an E-11 soon} will have already been in the shop for two weeks this coming Saturday. I have no horn to play and am going crazy. Managing a second lesson without it will be horrible, and even though I composed a piece for piano I CANNOT play it like the computer.
Please, if anyone out there is in the same situation as I, what do you do to keep from going crazy, please help me from doing so.

You're using the wrong repair person if you have to leave your clarinet that long unless it's being completely overhauled, and evern then a week is long enough.

Yeah, the horn's just sitting there while others are getting repaired around it. Next time see if you can schedule time in and out. Also helps to pin-point the problem so you both know how much repair (time that is) will be involved.

HOWEVER

This is a golden opportunity to work on some basics such as breathing techniques, just pounding out fingerings on a flat surface (any surface), or even (god forbid) concentrate on sight singing which will ALWAYS improve your playing no matter what level you are at.

Don't go crazy........get busy !!!!

in my area 2 weeks is fast, I actually drive 3 hours north to where it can be handed to a tech and fixed same day off possible.

Like others I would look for another tech.
