Does anyone know the standard barrel length for a Bb Selmer BT. I checked the archives and the question was asked by Mark Weinstein but never answered on the board. Thanks.

CT and Series 9 clarinets (not including the 9*) both had standard barrel lengths of 67mm, so I presume the BT is also 67mm. My N series Bb and CT A both came with 67mm barrels.

This particular BT came with a 64.5 and a 67MM barrel. The shorter barrel may indicate that the instrument was played by a doubler at one tine.

I have a Model 55 Selmer which, to my understanding, is a BT with sterling keys. I don't play it because the soft sterling keys are severely worn. However, its barrel measures 61.9 mm.

I believe that the 55 is actually a different design from the BT. It wasn't offered for very long and is most often associated with Gino Cioffi.
