it's on Ebay and seems similar to Kessler's and Ridenours but for $200 less. Anybody have any experience with it or the company?

Actually I'd go for Kessler or Ridenour - $200 is too little difference for skipping reputable vendors.

All of the aforementioned bass clarinets are Chinese-made; in what factory/factories we have no way to tell, and are likely the same instrument or very similar to each other. But as Ben writes, if you pay a bit more and get it from a seller who is a bona fide Real Live Instrument Dealer (i.e. a human being with a name and a reputation to uphold) such as Dave Kessler or Tom Ridenour, you are at least likely to get an instrument that's properly set up, and you will get 'service after the sale' if needed.

I've bought several instruments from the Kesslers and I figure the extra $200 is worth it. I just wanted to know if it's the same horn.

John,

Honestly, there is no way for me to know either way whether it is the same or not unless I had it in hand. There are actually several facilities making low C bass clarinets now. The bigger issue is setup. These come in to us and need quite a bit of it. We also include our Handmade mouthpiece as well.

I ended up buying the Kessler and am delighted with it. nice build, sound and intonation. Plus, the Kessler mouthpiece works great, too.
