Does anyone know where I can find a good bio on Rossini? I'm supposed to get some background on him for lessons on his style and stuff. I can't seem to find a good one anywhere, and none of them even mention the Itro themes and Var. piece much less say why he wrote it. Any help you could give me would be excellent!

Check Groves or Baker at your local library (talk to the reference librarian - they'll know exactly what you need).
