This IS a great story and thanks for posting it. I sent it on to a friend of mine who works at Juilliard, and this is what she said:
"I know Chris a little bit, and in addition to sounding unbelievably great in everything I’ve heard him play, he is also just one of the most pleasant, modest, polite, and engaging students I’ve come across. Good for him! (btw, he is doing a recital at Juilliard on Saturday, March 30, 8:30 pm."
So there's something to put on the calendar, too!

He was spectacular...I was at the concert (having recently moved from NYC to New Orleans). He did an unimaginably wonderful job! Also a wonderful person...we've played together in orchestras in New York, and he is a consummate professional.
