From doing some internet research, I understand that only about 200 F. Loree clarinets were made. I was wondering if anyone on the board has any pictures of one these clarinets. I have one that needs restoring, all the keywork has been stripped. All pieces are marked with the F. Loree logo with A. Paris and the star in the middle. It is also stamped "made in Paris".
My local repair shop doesn't want to touch it, since they have never seen one before. I am just curious to see what it should look like once we get it restored.

As I recall, F. Loree manufactured Oboes, and acquired the A. Robert clarinet business in the 60's. I have an A. Robert clarinet which is well made and plays very well indeed. If the Loree clarinet is an offshoot of that acquisition then it could be very good. It has a somewhat eccentric layout of springs.

Do you think if I could find an A. Robert clarinet that the keys would fit on the F. Loree? All of the wood on the F. Loree is in great condition.
