Any suggestions for clarinet solo with concert band? Could be either something traditional or contemporary for a very good community band and soloist.

Consult a Band Music Guide. ( Mine is about 30 years old; they appear on old- book sites such as abcbooks.). It has many suggestions for solos with concert band.

The Artie Shaw clarinet concerto is a good number to play with a good banb. We performed it last fall. It's lots of fun for the whole ensemble.

Martin Ellerby and Phillip Sparke have both composed nice concertos for clarinet and wind band that are challenging for the band and soloist, but not outrageously hard. I would say the band parts are at around Gr. 4. These were both written for Linda Merrick, who has commissioned works for clarinet and band. On the transcription side of things, there are decent arrangements of the Weber Concertino and the Mozart Concerto as well. If you just want fun, look for "Immer Kleiner" - Schriener, where the clarinet soloist bit by bit removes a piece of the instrument throughout the performance. There is still some good playing, but really it is just a fun showpiece that audiences love.
