 dating a Normandy Clarinet

I bought my daughter a Normandy Clarinet and the Serial number is 4913
Can anyone help me to find out the history of her clarinet? I have only found the serial number and normandy emblem. any help would be appreciated

It's going to be from the early or middle 1950s, depending on the model. If you could provide pictures, I could advise you as to which model you have.

If the body of the instrument is wood, and the Normandy shield on the upper joint does NOT have FRANCE inscribed underneath it, it's one of the Original or Transitional Normandy clarinets, and was made in the early 1950s.

If the body of the instrument is wood, and the Normandy shield on the upper joint has FRANCE inscribed underneath, it is a Model 7 if equipped with a plastic bell, or a Model 10 if equipped with a wooden bell. It would have been made in the mid 1950s.

I came across a beautiful Ormandy clarinet .Wood body. Composite bell Upper marks are shield with Normandy across with a 7 underneath in the shield on the front. On the back at the top it reads Made in France. Bottom has the shield wtih Normandy. No number. On front. On back at bottom are the #'s 56537. I have looked for days for info on this clarinet. Can someone help plz?

Normandy 7 was an entry-level wooden clarinet which stayed in production until about 1970. The serial number on your clarinet places it about early 1969.
