I am considering having my clarinet padded with cork upper sectjon and leather lower. The instrument Clinic has a very reasonable price for such a set of USA made pads. Has anyone had experience using this company's pads?

I took a look at the instrument clinic site. Are you planning to install the pads yourself? Any reputable repair shop will have high quality pads in stock. Most of the quality cork pads sold in this country come from one source in Portugal. Any batch (I order 100 at a time) will have variation in quality. A good repair tech preps each one before installation. There is more variation in leather pads.
Sizing is another issue. If you by a pad set, the sizes may not match your specific instrument.
I guess my point is that a decent repair tech will have what you need in the way of pads and advice. If you plan on installing them yourself and are not experienced, I would stay away from cork pads.
