Just finished a complete overhaul on a 1955 Buffet R16 3/4 with the intention of selling it however after play testing the instrument it is just to good to part with. The tone and intonation are both outstanding. The serial number is 50,4XX. Check out the picture.

Hard to look at for me. My first "good" clarinet was a '60 Buffet R16-1/2 (like yours but w/o the low Eb). Fast keywork (!) Found later (when I was able to notice) to have horrible intonation.

Very,very pretty craftsmanship.

The last one I had also had horrible intonation but this one is spot on.
