Hello Everyone,
I wanted to take some time out and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I don't post that much on the board but the value of the information here is amazing! I got back into playing after an extremely long layoff and currently play with the Greater Miami Symphonic Band. I also perform with a local church orchestra, nothing big maybe more like chamber style. I work in Law Enforcement so playing part time for me has been an amazing stress relief to say the least.
The cool thing is that the support i get from my family to pursue playing again has been a blessing so much so that I was encouraged to take private lessons also. The lessons are strictly part time but just enough for me to have some needed instruction.
My current setup is 1978 R13 with the Fobes Cicero 12 / CF plus as my mouthpieces of choice, with the Fobes Barrel 66m. I really like the V12 3.5 plus and the Gonzalez FOF 3.5 on this set up. I also have a 67m Buffet Moening barrel I picked a long time ago, but was thinking of having it modified somewhat as a backup to the Fobes barrel.
I want to THANK everyone who has contributed their knowledge, experience and expertise to this board that if it wasn't for the amount of information here I would be lost getting back into playing again. So again THANKS to everyone and Happy Holidays.
Sincerely,
Carmelo

Merry Christmas to you as well. I have had the pleasure of sitting in on clarinet with the GMSB while in the area for Spring Break--you are very lucky to be able to play full time with such a good ensemble. If you get a chance, say hi to Norris and Tavis and wish everyone well.
To the rest of the BB, Happy Holidays.
