Hello all.
Last week, I suffered a tragedy in which my Buffet Tosca, Backun barrel, Optimum ligature, and Greg Smith mouthpiece were stolen. As you all can relate, they really were extensions of my heart and soul.
I was wondering if any of you had a spare clarinet you would be able to loan/donate for a couple months. I would be willing to communicate with you during the period so it doesn't seem like I'm running off with it. It doesn't have to be a Tosca, but anything is appreciated. I have performances coming up and am panicking right now...
Thank you.

Alert the police and area pawn shops. I hope your stuff is recovered.

If you file a police report, you can also post the serial number and other info in the "Stolen" section on this site. Then the cockroaches among us can keep our eyes open at flea markets, pawn shops, etc.. Hope you get your own equipment back -- and the curse of the thousand squeaks on whoever stole your stuff.

PLEASE tell me you had them insured. The insurance company might/should be able to help.

I'll make a stop in to a few of the pawn shops around in my neighborhood. A lot of stuff that goes "missing" in Hyde Park seem to find their way to Lakeview, Lincoln Park and Loop pawn shops.
