RPO's music director is out

Every person I've talked to so far about this hates the decision. I don't know any details other than what's in the article. Anyone else know anything about what's going on? My teacher plays with them, but I'm not sure if he can/will talk about it.

I had a chance to work with him before he hit the big time and he was probably the best guest conductor I've ever played under. There could be no artistic reason for firing him.
