 Another eBay gem....

Whever I'm feeling down, I just go to the eBay clarinet auctions for some laughs.....The following is excerpted from an ad for a "Paris Frere" clarinet:
"If you check with any professional the name "Paris Frere" ranks with respect and quality within the industry!! .......The body shows no evidence of cracks and has maintained its "dark", rich coating as seen in the pictures......"
Who could pass up such a deal?

Howzabout the Monique "French" clarinet, complete with zip lock bag to hold loose parts that are ejected during play?

Gee Whiz, Me neither--but, of course, I'm not a "professional."

Did anyone check out the "Continental R-13 A Clarinet" that was listed on e-bay a few days ago? I don't think the seller really knew what he/she had. It looked for the life of me like a basset clarinet, but having never seen one up close, I couldn't be sure.

The Continental R-13 A on e-bay looks to me like a full Boehm with the low Eb key. I think a bassett clarinet would have yet another right hand key in addition to the Eb.

For another laugh, look at the following ebay item. "I have played this for 8 hours".

And no stand light required when you play in the orchestra pit!

His "other auctions" may hold the answer. He is undoubtedly more used to playing the hydraulic press.
