In our school's storage room there is an H Bettoney Eb silver clarinet. I found a mention of it on the Silver Clarinet site as "the best metal Eb clarinet", but that's all. I can't find any other mention on the interent. Any idea of value? Other info?
It doesn't have a mouthpiece and one key is broken off, but in the case. The rest looks good, although I'm sure it needs an overhaul. The case is in great shape foe its age. Both the horn and case are marked "US".
The music program could sell it and use the money for something needed by a modern band if it has any value. No high hopes, but curious.

The value probably won't be very high since one of the keys is broken and it is in need of an overhaul. Asuming that the broken key can be repaired it might be worth ~$150-$200 as it sits. One sold recently on ebay for $222 but it did not have any broken keys.

Any broken key can be repaired unless it's made of cast "pot metal" (a.k.a. "Mazak) which I doubt it would be for this instrument.
