What happens if I put too much dr. syntek on? What if it gets on the wood? How does Dr. Syntek affect the wood?

Doctor Sytek will not harm the wood or clog the pores of the wood. I was reluctant to offer any synthetic until I had done a lot of research on the effects on both the cellular structure of the cork and also what it might do to the wood on the tenons. I have checked with others that have used this formulation for at least several years and they have seen no ill effects and praise the lubricating properties and the length of time (long) between needed applications. It may be the ideal solution for those that do not like the ritual of applying cork grease often. As I indicated in an earlier post that the product will not destroy the cellular structure of the cork like petroleum based greases and my studies on wood indicate that it will not harm the wood either. Natural oils will preserve the cork for longer but both the natural and the synthetic will not do the damage of petroleum based products.
