Clarinet quartet I play in ("Mpingo") is interested in programming his "Grand Quartet" in an upcoming concert. I'm unable to find any bio information on this composer. Can anyone help us?

Remembering James Waterson (1834–1893): Clarinetist, bandleader, and composer
Krebs, Jesse (author). The clarinet 37. 2 (Mar 2010): 84-85.
Quote:
Waterson was born in England but moved to Australia at an early age and subsequently to India. There, he joined the First Life Guards band. He was bandmaster from 1863–79. Waterson composed many works including clarinet, including solos and quartets, as well as band music.
The joys of being a continuing college student & having access to the online databases!
