Would love to try it, but it's not available in Switzerland. I tried contacting the distributor for Switzerland on your webpage (GEWA). They said they couldn't sell to me directly, and gave me the names of two music stores. Neither of them stock the new GD model. Perhaps you should consider another distributor?

Love the GD reeds and have been using them for a while! They're like a really good V12, except that they're ULTRA consistent, and come in strengths by the quarter.
That said, I agree with the poster above. They're really hard to find pretty much everywhere except through Dawkes music.

I ordered one box from Weiner as a trial. The reeds seem a little harder than rated. The 3.5 plays like a much more resistant reed than I am accustomed to. Next time, I will probably try a box of softer ones. For now, I went back to my other reeds.

I also find them to run harder that the same strength in a Vandoren V12 or 56 Rue Lepic. Not a huge difference, but a 3-1/2 GD seems slightly harder than the 3-1/2+ Rues I'm using on a Rico Reserve X0. I like the quality and the consistency.

Regarding Kal O's quote, I stopped destroying myself when I switched permanently to synthetic reeds, my current reed of choice, the Forestone. However, I have recently been trying some German reeds that are showing great promise. More later when I receive my next shipment from Harry Hartmann.

I've ordered a few boxes from Dawkes and I'll check back here with my impressions in a week or so. Anyone want me to check anything out, specifically? Bearing in mind I don't have any sort of measuring tool.

Thanks Liquorice for letting us know about this situation. I talked to Gewa people and they tell me that certainly they can help You. They have over 400 shops in Switzerland where you can order the GD reeds. If you can write me at info@gonzalezreeds.com or give me an email address, I can send you the list of stores.
