I have a Bb soprano clarinet, obviously a stencil... but by whom?
The brand-name is "Concert," and the only other ID is a serial number and "made in Germany."
I bought it over 20 years ago when I first decided to return to clarinet playing. I had thought I'd get a used Evette, but this "Concert" sounded and responded better than any Evette in the store, and cost less, so I got it.
It's really quite good, the only real flaw being that bottom-of-clarion B is seriously flat.
Any clues as to who made this stencil?

Does it look like an Evette, B12 or E11? The keywork and plastic chimneys would give it away if it was. As it says 'Made in Germany' it was built after reunification, prior to that it would say 'Made in W. Germany' or if it was East Germany it would say either GDR or DDR.
Schreiber stencilled instruments for other comanies besides Buffet. I've seen a Hans Kreul clarinet back in the late '80s that was essentially the same as an E11 but with silver plated keys (E11 clarinets had nickel plated keys back then as standard) and the barrel was very short (around 64mm or less), so a longer barrel was needed to sort the intonation out.

I doubt it was made after German reunification because I bought it in mid-1990 and it wasn't a new instrument then.
