In the new issue of The Clarinet, there's a good article on Karl Leister's 75th birthday. It ends with a note that there will be a radio broadcast on October 3 of a selection of his recordings with his commentary.
The broadcast will be on a program from Berlin called "rbb Kultur." Does anyone know a web address for that, or whether it will be archived?
The article in The Clarinet is by Heike Fricke, the editor of the German wind instrument magazine 'rohrblatt. If anyone knows her, she could provide the information.

There is a Live Player button which plays streaming audio (at least for me in Germany, but I think it will work anywhere). Listening to some nice music on it right now...

The former principal clarinetist of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, this year celebrated not only his 75th Birthday, but also his 55 years on stage - and is therefore a unique artist in this field. Born in Wilhelmshaven studied from 1953 to 1956 at the Academy of Music in London and was subsequently committed at the age of 19 years as principal clarinetist of the Berlin Comic Opera. In 1959, joined by 30 years of "common hiking" with Herbert von Karajan, Karl Leister in which the sound of the Berlin Philharmonic had a crucial impact with. At the same time he acquired a reputation as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher. His work consists of numerous awards thoughtful and "washed it all," Musicians still continues. the cultural radio-music salon was Karl Leister talk about his many experiences and adventures, especially with Herbert von Karajan, he in as his "father of Music called ".
