 Pedler Clarinet

I recently bought a Pedler metal clarinet with original case. The instrument is in excellent condition, except for the pads. I am trying to determine if it is an orginal Pedler or if it is a Pedler made by Martin. The only identification marking is the serial number by the bell. The main thing I see about this horn is that the bell does not have the elaborate engraving. The bell is only engraved with "Made Especially for Juanita Walton", which caught my eye because my name is Walton. I find no references to bells with this type of inscription. I would appreciate any input.

IIRC, the original horns made Pedler will say "Harry Pedler" on them rather than just "Pedler" or "The Pedler". The "Harry Pedler" mark indicates that the man himself was there and oversaw production. There's more information on the silver clarinet site that may be helpful.

Hope this helps!

"Thanks", the only engraving on the horn is the "made especially for" inscription and the serial number. Harry Pedler & Co. is on the lyre only.
