My first comment would be that a 1.4-2 strength reed is too soft for both of the mouthpieces you mentioned. Neither the Ebolin 3 or the HS* have particularly open facings so I wouldn't recommend a reed strength of less than 2.5.

There is usually not a specific type of mouthpiece needed for vintage clarinets and all of the older clarinets I have played did just fine with modern mouthpieces. Since you are a beginner you would probably do well to try out some of the better new student mouthpieces such as the Clark Fobes "Debut", Hite "Premier", Behn "Overture", or Gennusa "Mezzo". All of these mouthpieces are priced in the $30-$35 range and are consistently good players.
