In the early '60s I purchased a Marigaux clarinet from a good friend who was also my clarinet teacher.
The clarinet is marked with Marigaux under which is a scroll that reads Made By and under that S.M.L Paris.
At the bottom of each section there is a number 2305.
It was last played around 10 years ago by my son who took lessons at school but didn't carry on. Around that time it was over-hauled and re-padded by a local musical instrument shop that specialised in woodwind.
It is in its original dark blue leather case with a an embossed lizard skin pattern. The case is sound but the leather on some of the corners is in need of attention. The lining is royal blue velvet in fair condition.
I'm 75 this year and would like to make sure it goes to a good home and am looking for some advice about value and where to offer it for sale. I live in the Midlands near Birmingham.
Cheers
Will
