Does the clarinet actually have a Leblanc logo on it or is it just labeled "Symphonie Artiste"? The "Symphonie" line was gnerally one of Leblanc's top-end clarinets from the 1950's through the 1970's but I have never seen one with "Artiste" stamped on it. Usually they are labeled "Symphonie" followed by a number or Roman numeral.
However, I have seen a few clarinets labeled "Symphonie Artiste" with no manufacturer's logo. These are reportedly stencil clarinets made by Malerne and then sold in the US by Sears. See the post by Steve Sklar in this thread: http://www.woodwindforum.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-4165.html

There is also the LeBlanc Symphonie that Morrie Backun designed. I have one, but never really used it.
