In college you learn all the rules in Music theory I the first year and learn how to BREAK all the rules in year II. All the music courses you can take will help and be good for you and give you an edge when you get to college. You might want to watch out for one thing - the method of theory you learn in high school as opposed to college. This might cause some confusion as to nomenclature, etc. Shouldn't be too hard, though. Not sure about no lunch period - dont forget that the body and soul both need food!
