Looking for repertoire for Clarinet and Tenor Voice (with or without piano), particularly by Jewish composers.

I know about Meyerbeer's Hirtenlied.. other suggestions, please?

Think like a horn and do Schubert's Auf dem Strom. The IMSLP version is pretty rough http://conquest.imslp.info/files/imglnks/usimg/8/80/IMSLP05426-Schubert_Auf_Dem_Strom_D943.pdf. Try it from here http://en.scorser.com/S/Sheet+music/Schubert+Auf+Dem+Strom/-1/1.html. It's for horn in E. . . .

Most of the songs from http://www.amazon.com/The-Obbligato-Clarinet-Eirian-James/dp/B0001J3U0M/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1338121238&sr=1-1 would work for tenor.

Ditto for http://www.amazon.com/P%C3%A2tre-sur-Rocher-Hirt-Felsen/dp/B0006ZXGBE/ref=sr_1_7?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1338122022&sr=1-7

The third act from Tosca is stunning. I don't know if there is an arrangement anywhere though.

Or Nessun Dorma from Turandot.

Nothing modern specifically for this combination? I thought given the spectacular results in operas (as noted above!), composers might have made more use of it in a chamber music configuration. Oh well..

Try the aria from Act III of Verdi's The Force Of Destiny, "La vita e inferno". Also the song cycle "To Be Sung Upon The Water" by Dominic Argento for high voice (soprano or tenor), clarinet, and piano. If I remember right, some portions call for bass clarinet.

The Argento is meant for the tenor voice. It does require bass clarinet in a few of the movements.
