During my business trip to Asia next month, I have one free day in Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Can anybody tell me about good stores to visit in those cities?
No plan to buy anything but who knows…….
Thanks in advance.

If you are going to the Ginza while in Tokyo, the Yamaha Store is most impressive. 8 or 10 floors of instruments and sheet music, if I recall correctly. They carry all brands, not just Yamaha, and have a very busy performance hall on the top floor.

This is great.
I'll be staying at YMCA Salisbury in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong and Marriott in Ginza Tokyo.
Perfect!!
Thanks a lot.

While in the Tokyo area, you can go to Ishimori(handmade ligatures) and Nonaka(clarinets and mouthpieces, etc.). You should also try to get to Tokyu Hands(Shibuya), Itoya(Ginza) and Tower Records(Shibuya).
