We celebrate the wonderful sounds of the clarinet family with fantastic music and virtuosic playing ranging from classical to klezmer in this uniquely entertaining concert. Clarinet faculty J. Lawrie Bloom, Steve Cohen, and Leslie Grimm lead a stellar line-up of dazzling student and alumni performers. Music includes L’Histoire du Tango by Piazzolla, Devil Sticks by the brilliant Scott McAllister, Shtetl Dances by Michael Kibbe, a piece for nine bass clarinets, and arrangements for an orchestra of clarinets. A one-of-a-kind event!
