I was looking at my mouthpiece the other day, out of extreme bordem in band class, and I saw in addition tot he Greg Smith label the word zinner written really small horizontally. is it a blank or some sort that you start with. I'm interested to know what the significance of the word

If you go to the Resources/Retail section here on Sneezy (or did a "Search Sneezy" from the Home page) you'd find Zinner made mouthpiece blanks.

Sara,
If you go to my website at www.gregory-smith.com the first page explains a little about the blanks that I use in particular from Zinner.
All best wishes,
G. Smith

Before this thread is into the archives, the only US patent to Zinner and/or Hall on clarinet or mouthpiece I have found is 5,105 701 [has some dimensions!]. It is available for viewing etc via Delphion [IBM] which also has some foreign searching availability. Good luck, Don
