My right hand was going numb. The ulnar nerve in the elbow was the cause so I had the operation. Well it's been 2 month, maybe 2 1/2 months. Well the forearm feels weak and so do the the 3 fingers counting from the pinky to the famous sign finger thats well known to people driving badly! Although that could be just the crazy California drivers. Well I think you guys got the message!!!
Have any of you fellow players had the surgery and how long did it take to fully recover? Thanks!

I've had a similar operation, but a different nerve. Mine affected the thumb and forefinger. My experience is that up until the operation the muscles atrophied. The operation just stopped further deterioration. The strength did not and would not return on it's own accord. Once a muscle has atrophied it takes a hell of a lot of work to get the strength back...proper targeted exercise for months, if not years.
Disclaimer. I have no medical background. Just relating what happened to me.
