HS** Metal Clarinet Mouthpiece

I know there are a handful of Metal HS** Clarinet Mouthpieces out there (I own one). However, I've seen a lot of conflicting information pertaining to how these mouthpieces hit the market. Some sources say these mouthpieces originally shipped with the Selmer Paris Metal Clarinets. However, other sources I've run across over the years have cast doubt on this.

Does anyone know with any certainty whether the metal HS** Clarinet Mouthpieces did/didn't come with the Selmer Paris Metal clarinets? If they DID come with the Selmer Paris metal clarinet, did they ONLY come with the clarinet, or could they be purchased individually as well?
