 reed holder
Author: Jan

I recently got 2 reed holders that hold 4 reeds at a time. i dont remember the name, but its plastic an the reeds slip right in. i got it becuz my reeds were warping and i thot this would help keep them flat. but then i noticed each reed has the same mark on it when i realized its right at the place where the reed wont go any further into the holder. is there any real damage to be concerned about? each reed has a slight indentation where the mark is.
thanks
jan

You're pushing them into the reed hold too far and too hard. Just slide them in far enough to just barely hold.

Hello Jan,
That shouldn't cause any trouble. A good reed holder that will not put any indentations on the reed and keep it flat is: The Reed Pro it holds the reeds either by rubber band or form on the inside. It really works great. I haven't had any warping either.
Take care,
Miles
