You do realize that getting a longer than stock neck will destroy your intonation right? That being said if I wanted a custom neck for an alto or bass clarinet Charles Bay would be the first on my list to contact.

I pull my neck out at least a full inch to play the high c,d,e,f,g in tune and the bottom 3 notes g,f,e are flat but are the same if I push it in .The high notes are very noticeable compared to the bottom notes.Unless you know a way to tune my bottom ones , its a 3piece alto.I read a guys document on why altos are dying out .He is a proffessor in Alaska at the university and they had to modify the alto neck to play them in tune very interesting read ,He has some very nice youtube videos.Sorry I forgot his name/

The new Buffet altos have two length necks, one which works at 440 pretty well and the horn is remarkably in tune with itself. A pretty sound too. You might try seeing what the Buffet necks do to your horn.
I think much of the taboo of alto is instruments badly out of playing condition and musicians put on them that are not the best. That combo can only give a disaster. People are always pleasantly surprised when I show that it can be be played well.

Some Noblet altos were best tuned when played with slightly a longer crook (by around 15mm I seem to recall). I think they used the same length crooks as Leblanc basset horns (with a single bend) as the top joints are longer on Noblet and Vito alto clarinets compared to Leblanc altos which have a shorter top joint and longer crook (with an S bend).

Is it a plastic bodied alto (seeing as it's a B&H 1-10)? I'm wondering if it's a Bundy stencil if it is.
