Hello all. I'd love to hear your feedback. I don't have much to say. There were good moments, there were less good moments. Onto grad auditions! Woo

Your beautiful tone and color reminds me somewhat of the Daniel Bonade concept. The K581 (clarinet quintet) is an excellent Mozart choice, in my opinion. While I love K622 (clarinet concerto) I’ve heard it too many times.

Your playing (and indeed that of the entire quintet) was immensely enjoyable in both selections. Your performance is now bookmarked and I’ve listened twice already. Thank you!

Just listened to the last movement of the Mozart (to my mind the most demanding in many ways) and the first of the Brahms and I thought they were excellent and quite a fresh interpretation in some places. Well done and lucky you for getting such good strings together.

I haven't heard the Brahms for some time although I know it well and it makes me think I might try and get a group to do it at Summer School next year.

Vanessa.

Timothy, fantastic playing! Where are you applying for grad school? I'm also preparing for grad auditions now. I'm sure you won't have any problems getting in wherever you want:)

Only had time to listen to the first and last movements of the Mozart but really enjoyed what I heard. Lovely full sound but still light and agile.

Thank you all for the positive feedback.

@Vials - I'm applying to Northwestern, Roosevelt, and DePaul
I'm hoping my pre-screen for Northwestern is accepted. My recital went better than the recording I sent in of the Mozart. I'm not too worried, but there is always that element of doubt.

Your tone is imspiring. Good luck wherver you go. I read your address and it reminded me of a jazz camp I went to in Chanpaign/urbana about a million years ago. Ksaxman.com

Your playing has a lot of old school inflections...which is a compliment from my end. A lot of sensitivity in the Brahms - very enjoyable!

Great job! I really enjoyed listening to your live recordings. Its very brave of you to post a live recording that isn't spliced and diced.

Brilliant program! The sense of ensemble within the quintet is amazing, especially since I suppose you had limited rehearsal time. And the recording quality is top notch! A worthwhile listen.

Nice job. Articulation was great, you really got into the romance of the great quintet. Your string players were also very talented. A+

Tutti bravo!

Always wonderful to do chamber music with good string players. Props to the quartet as well!

Roosevelt to study with John Yeh under Orchestral Studies program... which appears to be a performance degree on steroids.

I'm a senior performance major at the University of Illinois. Thank you though. I'm going to Roosevelt for my Masters.
