Hello Everyone,
Has anyone tried the Muncy Tuning Rings on an R-13? I want to know if they fit properly, or a waste of time. Thanks.

I have the ones for the barrel, the plastic ones and they fit fine. I have an R-13.

I think they are an unnecessary hassle--of no accoustical value and only make minor barrel adjustments (necessary during the course of any performance) impossible.

Well to each his own, but I don't see how it would make it impossible to adjust, as you can still pull out. It's not holding your barrel to your upper joint. The rings are 1/2 mm in length, so technically they are a minor adjustment, and you could pull out more from there if you need. I guess you could write them off as "useless". I'd give you that. A lot of people feel they are. I'll find out when I'm using them.

Rings can provide a more mechanically stable assembly too.
