Does anyone have access to the first clarinet part or score to Rachmaninoff's third symphony? We start rehearsal soon, and I'd like to show up prepared, but it's a tough part to find!

The "famous solo" is in the Second Symphony.
Unfortunately the Third Symphony is still in copyright, so it is available only by rental.
Good news is that next year is the 70th anniversary of Rachmaninoff's death, so all his works should come into the public domain.
Of course, that doesn't help you now...

Is there an English language name for http://72.41.41.216? Entering just the numbers goes to a blank page with the word Adair, but a search on the numbers plus Adair gives no result.
I changed the PDF numbers and got more scores.

I thought it was life plus 90 years now? Or does it depend on when the piece was written, or some other factor?

My bad.
That is only for works created after 1978.
It looks like Rocky 3 won't become public until 2032 (95 years after publication, since the copyright was renewed after the first 28 year term).

but the Score is only excerpts.
Perhaps a local library will have the complete score, and you can copy the relevant pages, or even the whole thing. This may well be one of those cases in which you can't be prepared in advance, at least as much as you would like to be -- sort of like Life itself.

Best of luck. Rach 3 is my favourite - I don't know why there's so much hype about the 2nd symphony, the 3rd is so much more colourful and, strictly in my opinion, more accessible to the audience. Too many friends have come along to concerts I've been in which featured Rach 2 and been bored out of their minds. I'm talking about people who rarely see orchestras of course.
