Hey i currently have a reed that chirps and squeeks like crazy when you begin to practice only to subside after you've warmed up for 10 minutes or so, and then it goes away like it never exists, and it happens in every practice session - first 10 minutes of no control and chirping, and then it goes away? What does this mean? Thanks!

If it's only this reed that does it, it may mean you're too slow to ditch a problem reed.
There's probably an imbalance in the tip area - maybe a hard spot that softens a little as the reed gets wetter. Rather than try to find the spot, I'd go on to another reed.
If it happens with lots of reeds, it's probably taking you those 10 minutes to get your embouchure loosened up and working well.

It sounds to me like you should throw the reed away! (It is probably warped).

I'd ditch the reed, but first try this. Soak the reed for a few minutes, not 20 seconds or so, and sand the bottom of the reed with 600 wet dry sandpaper. Don't sand anywhere near the tip of the reed, back about a 1/2 inch or perhaps less. You may have a badly warped reed. I use a large glass and place the sandpaper on the glass, or something very flat.
After sanding, if the reed is too soft clip the tip a tiny bit. Who knows, this has worked for me many times, but everyone plays differently. It also has to do with the age of your reed. If it's new play around with my suggestion and see what happens. The whole precess, wetting, sanding, and clipping the reed should only take about 6 minutes to tell if the reed may have some life in it.

as stated above, its probably not the proper shape for your mouth, but those ten minutes soften it into shape. keep it as a spare. m.y.k.
