Hello All,
I've just started Cavallini #25. It's in 6/8 time and starts with 32nd note rest, Bb-A-Bb etc.... Just so we're on the same page.
I'm currently at about the 16th note=84bpm.
This seems slow, but not. Although, If I go much faster the 64th note runs will be a blurr.
What would your tempo be?

Up to interpretation.
Changing the tempo is one of the ways of personalizing a piece to your own interpretation

Ok, this is ADAGIO. So you would want to take this in a very slow six beats per measure (at something like 50 beats per minute for the eighth note). Remember it's not HOW the notes are written out that determines speed, it's the indicated pace and what you need to do to get it there. Another example of this seemingly poor notation is the Rabaud Solo de Concours.

I think playing in 6 at 50-60 beats (eighth-notes, though, not sixteenths) seems about right. From your post, you're around eighth=42. The 64th notes need not be a blur at that tempo or, at least, *you* can't feel them as a blur, but need to feel them rhythmically. You need to play them cleanly to have them sound that way.
