In today's paper (The Oregonian, 1/2/12) Dave Barry has his year end summary of 2011. For March, he reports (tongue in cheek as always) that
"The troubled musical "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" suffers a setback when four orchestra musicians are killed by what producers describe as a "freak clarinet accident."
Barry goes on to report that a proposed Federal Department of Woodwind Safety was blocked in the US Congress.

Great stuff . Apparently good quality humour can actually come from the US of A as well as from the British Isles.
For a while I thought that Moammer Gadhafi was not going to get a look-in, but he's there, in one delightfully wicked sentence.
