I have this youtube clip bookmarked and I listen to it often. It's one of the reasons I keep playing clarinet. It's just a magical duet to me. Bernard Berkhout and Eddie Daniels ( intheir younger days) playing "Avalon" on Dutch TV. They just killed it man!

Wow! Eddie Daniels is great, but I'd never heard of Bernard Berkhout until now. Why?? He's just ridiculous! Here's another more recent video of him playing "After You've Gone":

Yeah, I had never heard of Bernard Berkhout until I ran across the youtube clip of them playing "Avalon". Bernard was so accomplished at a very young age. He has a degree in medicine and is actually a physician. I'm not sure if he stayed in medicine or if he went the full time music route or a mixture of both professions.
I just love his playing though and his duet with Eddie Daniels is just wonderful. Their playing styles are different but compliment each other so well in this duet. I could listen to those guys all day long!

The harmonic masterclass is a good one. Sometimes solos can break down into what some people refer to as 'science experiments'. Eddie makes music with it. Great duet.
